A few years ago, I was part of an e-commerce community where a lively debate unfolded: should you chase points and miles for travel, or stick with straightforward cashback? Some argued that business owners should focus solely on their companies and opt for cashback—one person even shared they earned over $40,000 in cashback from a single card, enough to pay a full-time employee. Others admitted that cashback just went back into their business, never toward personal enjoyment.

That conversation struck a chord with me. I’ve always loved finding great deals - whether shopping online or buying a car, I’m drawn to getting the most value possible. When I discovered the world of points and miles, I was hooked. Over the years, I’ve collected enough points to create unforgettable vacations for my family.

One highlight: during our kids’ spring break in 2022, I booked business class tickets on Turkish Airlines for all four of us—our first time flying in such comfort to Istanbul. While we couldn’t find a similar deal for the return, we managed a great route back through Amsterdam, enjoying the incredible airport lounge in Istanbul (which is still the nicest one I've been to) and a few days exploring Amsterdam before heading home. When I shared our plans, neighbors were baffled. My answer was simple: that’s where the best deals were.
